Homework Hub
At Blackfell Primary School, we believe homework provides a valuable opportunity for children to practise, reinforce and share their learning at home.
From this year, we have moved to an online homework platform, making it easier for children to access their activities from home and for parents and carers to see, support and engage with their child's learning. Find out all about it below.
Our homework is designed to be manageable, purposeful and age-appropriate, while helping children develop independence, confidence and a love of learning.
The information on the left of this page provides everything you need to know about how homework is organised at Blackfell Primary School, including the platforms we use and how they support your child’s learning.
Each child has their own individual login details for the online platforms they use, including Doodle, EdShed, Numbots and Times Tables Rock Stars. These platforms provide engaging opportunities for children to practise key skills, reinforce their learning and develop greater independence at home.
We encourage children to take ownership of their homework, with parents and carers providing support and encouragement where needed. Regular, manageable practice at home can make a real difference to children's confidence, fluency and progress in school.
