Year 6 Beamish Visit12 June 2025 (by cbarrass) |
Year 6 had a fantastic time visiting Beamish Museum as part of their learning about coal mining. The highlight was the Little Sparks workshop where they learned about the dangers of gas explosions in mines through exciting demonstrations that really brought history to life. The children also explored the 1950s area, enjoyed their lunch in the sun, had a play in the park and treated themselves to an ice cream. They spent time exploring the 1900s town, stepping back in time to see how people lived and worked. It was a great trip with wonderful weather!
